BRCW Vegas Vacation (4.15.26) review

Yes, we are already scraping the barrel and doing Boca Raton Championship Wrestling. A show that aired on Wednesday, which was on YouTube, and has Frank the Clown on comms. Honestly, I tried to avoid doing this but received a friendly overnight nudge in this general direction. It’s 97 minutes in total so fuck it, let’s get it done. 

 

Gangrel & Zack Clayton vs. Stallion Rogers & Ben Bishop 

So, apparently Ben Bishop flew himself into Vegas for these shows. To wrestle in front of 50 people. Comms refer to the ring announcer as “a modern-day Vince Russo”. Vince Russo booked a show this weekend! Vince Russo is the modern-day Vince Russo. I don’t think I was ready for how bad Gangrel vs Ben Bishop is here. Pretty sure they botch the finish with Bishop pinning Clayton with a chokeslam. Stallion strolling around the ringside area with that ‘something went wrong’ face on. ¼* 

 

Rhys Maddox vs. Justin Andrews vs. Rey Fury 

This was a four-way, but the fourth guy didn’t turn up. HAHAHA. Rey Fury is giving me ‘fake luchadore’ vibes. Shame CMLL signed exclusive rights with the Pearl Theatre because a random guy like Esfringe or Xelhua showing up here would have fucked. As I’m typing Maddox got the pin. Shit, that was short! Erm…*? 

 

Big Tito Lincoln vs. Cha Cha Charlie 

I’ve never heard of Big Tito Lincoln, but he is a large man, cornered by an Samoan (LA Smooth). Commish guy introduces a new title for the “midcard”. HAHAHAHA. HE SAID MIDCARD. BROTHER SAID MIDCARD.  

So, this is now a title match. It literally says “Cha Cha” on the belt, which I feel is a spoiler. Oh, and also this is a tables match. Good luck finding a table in a wrestling promotion in 2026. I know I slagged this crowd size off but there’s nothing better than a tiny building with almost no fans in. A spear through the table doesn’t work, as it doesn’t break, so Cha Cha Charlie has to cha cha his ass back across the ring and do it again. I just noticed the belt is colour coded to Charlie’s gear. FIIIIXXXX! ½* 

 

CCW Women’s Championship 

Kristin Blaze (c) vs. Roma 

I suspect Blaze is retaining as she defended the same belt on the following show too. “Kristin’s lower body…she is just built”. Comms getting horny on main. Roma is from Chile, which is a rarity in wrestling. She’s, sadly, not very good.  

Kristin Blaze, who’s only been wrestling a few years, is a clear talent. This is her first real showcase as she’s only been working for CCW. If she can cut a promo, she’s TV ready. Not even joking. She works around Roma’s shortcomings and finishes with the split legged moonsault. *¾  

 

We get Steve Person out here. He was supposed to be in a match earlier, but he was late and missed it. So, he gets to do shots with Red Cup Jeff instead.  

 

BRCW Tag Team Championship 

Cezar Bononi & Noah Kekoa (c) vs. EJ Nduka & Kenny King 

Bononi and former Kona Reeves, Kekoa, are both NXT rejects. From the era where everyone got on TV, apart from these two. The heels cut up someone’s shirt. It can’t be a local sports team because Las Vegas doesn’t have any. And no, the Raiders don’t count. They’ll just fuck off somewhere else if they get a better offer. Bononi and Nduka is some serious meat colliding. This ends in a quick count out as we attempt BOOKING.  

 

Cezar Bononi, Noah Kekoa & Sean Maluta vs. EJ Nduka, Kenny King & James Ellsworth 

Didn’t Ellsworth get cancelled? Is it really worth risking the reputation loss on hiring him here? I mean, shit, Riddle is in the main event, so what are we even doing here? EJ vs Bononi looks so impressive here. If they both hadn’t already washed out of mainstream wrestling, you would think they’d be worth a shot. Size gets less impressive when everyone is huge, I guess. Oh, Ellsworth gets rolled up for the pin, so Nduka & King can’t get a title shot. ½* 

 

Post Match: Ellsworth gets invited to join the Sons of Boca but it’s a swerve and they kick his ass instead. Good. Maybe he can wear the Sons of Boca shirt the next time he sends pictures of his dick to teenage girls*.

Joe Coffey vs. Matt Riddle 

Joe Coffey was one of those ‘also there’ talents during the peak of BritWres. I was shocked he got to be in WWE for eight years. Every year at Wrestlemania you see a former star and the state of them is saddening. I’m surprised this year it was Matt Riddle. He’s so far off the guy he was a few years ago.  

Comms joke about Riddle selling content on OnlyFans, which is somewhat inappropriate given accusations against Riddle during Speaking Out. Riddle finishes with Bro Derek. This was fine, I guess. *½
